Flex Shield Protects Ed’s Wallet
Ed makes a wise decision
and enrolls in Flex Shield
Ed can now relax knowing he is protected from significant loss due to hospitalization and outpatient surgery.
Ed takes charge of
his health.
Each month, Ed hears from his coach or counselor about a specific health-related matter of his choosing. Since Ed actively engages with his coach and takes appropriate action, he receives benefit payments.
Payments are deposited
into Ed’s bank account.
A benefit payment is deposited into Ed’s bank account on the same day as his paycheck to help offset the cost of his policy.
One day, Ed has
an accident.
Ed falls down a flight of stairs and has to call an ambulance for assistance. Ed is transported to the emergency room, where he is admitted for a concussion and a broken leg requiring a three-night hospital stay.
Ed could be responsible for his deductible and co-pay.
Since Ed has not met his annual health insurance deductible, he would have to pay the deductible and co-pay for this treatment without Flex Shield.
Flex Shield bridges
the gap.
Ed’s gap policy covers the hospital charges he would have incurred. In addition, the hospital indemnity plan will pay Ed directly for emergency transportation, hospital admittance, and his hospital stay.
